The Spassky Cathedral in Tara was visited by the Senator of the Russian Federation, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, a representative of the executive body of state power of the Omsk region Ivan Aleksandrovich Evstifeev and the chief physician of the Clinical Medical-Surgical Center of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region Vadim Grigorievich Berezhnoy, the head of the Tara municipal district Evgeniy Nikolaevich Lysakov and representatives of the district administration.

The guests were greeted by Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, the rector of the cathedral, priest Mikhail Safichuk, the secretary of the Diocesan Council, Archimandrite Thaddeus (Cherednichenko), and the clergy of the cathedral.

The guests got acquainted with the progress of restoration work in the main church of the diocese.

At the end of the meeting, Bishop Vikenty was solemnly presented with a letter of gratitude from Senator of the Russian Federation I. A. Evstifeev, which says: “Your Eminence, I express my sincere gratitude to you for your great personal contribution to the spiritual and moral development and education of the population, the cultural development of the Tara municipal district of the Omsk region and in connection with the 250th anniversary of the consecration of the Spassky Cathedral.”
