The Advisor to the Ruling Bishop gave a lecture to the cadets of the Military Institute on the history of the occupation of Transnistriatranslated

On October 20, at the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense, a lecture was held for cadets on the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of Transnistria. Nikolai Viktorovich Dymchenko, deputy head of the State Service for Management of Documentation and Archives of the PMR, director of the Center for the Study of Cultural, Historical and Spiritual Heritage, adviser to the Ruling Bishop on issues of culture and education, spoke to the future officers. During the meeting, the lecturer turned to the events of 1941–1944, when the region was under occupation by German-Romanian troops. Based on historical documents, evidence of crimes of the occupation regime and the tragedy of the civilian population was examined. Particular attention was paid to the importance of archival materials in preserving historical memory. Documentary evidence makes it possible not only to restore the picture of the events of the war years, but also to bring back from oblivion the fate of specific people who suffered during that period.
Such meetings help the younger generation become more deeply acquainted with the history of their native land, comprehend its tragic pages and preserve the memory of the victims of the war. According to mopmr.org
