The systematic work of the social department of the diocese continues to provide assistance to those in need. Based on the results of the second quarter of this year, more than 750 people received clothing and food support. Help is provided to large and low-income families with children in difficult life situations, pregnant women, as well as other socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The center accepts clothing, shoes and household items from both private donors and organizations. All incoming items undergo careful sorting, rejection (up to 50% is recycled), professional washing, drying and, if necessary, partial repairs. Items are issued regularly five days a week. Attention! The department asks you to bring things strictly during the opening hours of the humanitarian center and not leave them at the entrance. Unfortunately, things left on the street often become unusable, and we cannot use them to help those in need. The center's staff take special care of residents of remote villages. Every month, large shipments of humanitarian cargo are sent to populated areas in Kolyma. In the past quarter, residents of the villages of Arman, Sokol and Stekolny received clothing assistance.
