It's nice to hear that the colleagues from IK-11 came out and went to the Makarievsky Monastery. Hopefully the fresh air and the silence there was good after everyday life in the colony. Have any of you ever been there?

I’ve never been to Макарьевский myself, but a friend from our choir went last summer and said the quiet by the river really clears your head. Nice to hear the IK-11 staff got a break like that. Did they stay for the service?

My sister went with her church group a couple years back and said the same thing about the river spot — she sat there for an hour after the service and felt like she could finally think straight. I don’t know if the IK-11 group stayed for the full service, the article didn’t say, but I hope they did. Did your friend bring back any of the monastery’s honey?
