The VI youth bell ringing festival “Bogatyr Chimes-2026” took placetranslated

On August 1 and 2, with the blessing of Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe, the VI youth bell ringing festival “Heroic Chimes” was held. The event was organized at the parish of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Bogatyrskaya, Polotsk deanery.

Orthodox bell ringers from various regions of Belarus and invited guests from Russia took part in the festival.

The arrivals were met by the project leaders - priest Andrei Babushkin, the rector of the parish of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Bogatyrskaya and bell ringer Alexander Zinoviev.

The program began with a prayer service for the beginning of every good deed, after which the guests and participants were given a tour, showing them the temple complex and the church-historical office of the Polotsk diocese. Training master classes and individual lessons with festival participants were also held.

Next, the participants of the bell-ringing forum visited the Epiphany Cathedral, where they prayed during the all-night vigil.

Then, on the banks of the Western Dvina in the Polotsk city park named after the 50th anniversary of Soviet power, a concert of bell music was organized.

Really, really, sounds nice. It's interesting how the young bell ringers from Belarus and Russia got along at the master classes with Father Andrei and Alexander Zinoviev. Were there some of our people from Serbia or just guests from Russia?
