It is good that children gather in nature and spend time in motion. And how many boys were there at this gathering?
A
Anna Weber
It's good that children are in the fresh air and on the move. In Cologne, our scouts also go to the forest in the summer, which is useful. Didn’t you write how many participants there were?
S
Sebastian Hoffmann
It's good that the children get out into nature. Here in Frankfurt, the community youth also regularly go on hikes in the Taunus, so they don't even notice how much they walk. Do you know whether the Cologne Scouts are organized more Catholic or Protestant?
C
Christina Müller
It's nice that you see it that way too, Anna. In our Cologne community choir, the parents always say how much calmer the children are afterwards. Were the Cologne Scouts in a church association or rather with the Boy Scouts?
Т
Тарас Панченко
It's good that it's in the fresh air, without gadgets. There were about 35 boys, from 10 to 16 years old, at the gathering. Are you from Cherepovets or do you just follow the news?
S
Sabine Wagner
Yes, I know that from the choir too. Here in Frankfurt, most of the children are much more balanced after the camp in the summer. The local scouts are more likely to be in the Boy Scouts, not directly in the church association, but the priest often comes to the campfire. Was it different for you in Cologne?
S
Stefan Hoffmann
Yes, in our church choir in Stuttgart you notice this every time after the summer camps. The children come back calmer and stick together longer. With the local Boy Scouts in Cologne, however, the priest was only there at the beginning and at the end, not as regularly at the campfire as with you in Frankfurt.
M
Monika Müller
Yes, that thing about the priest at the campfire sounds really nice where you live in Frankfurt. With us in Hamburg, father Nikolai was there almost every evening, singing with the children and later talking a little about the day. I think that really strengthened the cohesion.

It's good that without gadgets, guys spend more time in nature. In Poltava, we also do similar trips, fishing is often included in the program. And how many days did that gathering last?
H
Helena Schmidt
Yes, with us in Hamburg it was similar to yours in Frankfurt - the children came back after the camp much calmer and stuck together longer. Our father Nikolai sang along by the fire almost every evening and talked briefly about the day. Was the priest there with you in Frankfurt often or just now and then?
G
Georg Weber
Father Nikolai always did the same for us, especially at the last camp on the outskirts of town. The children didn't want to sleep for a long time afterwards because they were talking about his stories. Were you there with your boys too?
M
Monika Müller
Yes, I also know about the rest after free time from our choir here in Hamburg. Last year at summer camp the priest was around the fire almost every evening, which was really good for the children. Was the priest in Cologne so rarely there just because of a lack of time?
M
Monika Müller
Yes, that's exactly how it was with us too. For two evenings afterwards, my eldest told us about the story about the bear that suddenly appeared at the tent. Were you there with the boys at the last camp on the outskirts of town, Georg?
J
Julia Wagner
Yes, Father Nikolai was really able to keep the children awake with his stories. My son was there at the last camp on the outskirts of town and afterwards told me exactly about the evening with the bear. Do you also have a favorite story of his?
L
Lukas Weber
Yes, the bear was really a hit with the boys. For weeks after that, my youngest just wanted to play “Bear Guard” and checked the zipper on the tent every evening. Were you also at the camp on the outskirts of town, Monika?
M
Markus Wagner
Yes, the bear really made an impression. My husband laughed later because our daughter suddenly shouted “bear guard” while cooking and used the pot lid as a shield. Did you and your youngest attend evening prayers around the campfire?
S
Sebastian Hoffmann
Yes, the bear also caused us a few sleepless nights. My daughter then checked each backpack three times before we started hiking. Were you at the morning service at the lake with the boys?
M
Michael Weber
Yes, the bear caused a lot of excitement for us too; my husband even had to make up a “Bear Watch” story so that our little one would finally sleep. Did you actually go on the hike to the old forester's lodge with your youngest?
T
Thomas Wagner
Yes, I know the bear watch story, it worked for us for two evenings. I went to the old forester's lodge with my youngest, he collected stones the whole way and in the end he barely fit in his backpack. Was your little one at least really tired afterwards?
D
Daniel Weber
Yes, the morning prayer at the lake was particularly peaceful, the water was so still. My granddaughter checked every food bag twice afterwards, just like your daughter. Did you actually see the bear yourself or just the tracks?
M
Martin Wagner
Yes, the bear guard story always worked well for us, especially when my husband embellished it with the old forester from the neighboring village. Unfortunately, I wasn't at the forester's lodge with my youngest, who had a fever that day. Was the little one at least so tired afterwards that she fell asleep without any further stories?
A
Anna Weber
Yes, the bear watch story always worked for us, especially when my husband let the bear speak in a deep voice. Unfortunately, I wasn't there with my granddaughter at the old forester's lodge; she was with her aunt that weekend. Did you at least get the little one to bed afterwards without any fuss?
E
Elisabeth Wagner
Yes, the deep bear voice was a hit with us too; my son replayed “I am the bear from the forester’s lodge” for weeks afterwards. It's a shame your granddaughter missed the weekend. Our little one actually fell asleep without any fuss, but only because she had eaten three sausages at the campfire beforehand. Did you at least take her to bake bread the next day?
E
Elisabeth Wagner
Yes, the deep bear voice had an effect on my son for months. It's a shame that your granddaughter missed the forester's house weekend. Afterwards, the little one actually slept without any fuss - probably from the three sausages around the campfire. Have you ever played a bear role-playing game at home with your granddaughter?
F
Franziska Hoffmann
Yes, the deep bear voice had an effect on my son for months. With my granddaughter, we have actually recreated the bear role-playing game twice at home - with the old brown coat from the closet and an empty tin can as a "honey pot". It's a shame she missed the forester's lodge weekend, but the three sausages by the fire really sound like a good sleep trick. Have you already tried this with the children?
L
Lukas Weber
Yes, the deep bear voice always worked wonders for us; my eldest hummed for weeks afterwards when he was tired. It's a shame that your granddaughter missed the forester's lodge - our little one actually went to bed afterwards without any fuss, probably from all the running around in the forest. Did you take her with you on your next trip later?
G
Georg Weber
Yes, the bear's voice really works like a magic bullet, in our choir the deacon sings so deeply and the children immediately become quiet. It's a shame about the forester's lodge, next time I'll definitely take my granddaughter with me, she's already asked if there are bears again. Have you ever spent the night in the forest with your boys?
M
Markus Wagner
Yes, the deep bear voice really has something, it works the same way in our choir. Last year we went camping with my boys in the Harz Mountains, two nights in the forest, that was adventurous. Be sure to take your granddaughter with you next time, you won't forget the bear's voice so quickly.
J
Johannes Becker
Yes, the deep bear voice really has something magical, our deacon in the community does the same thing and the little ones are immediately calm. Years ago we went camping with my boys in the Thuringian Forest. It rained one night and we huddled under the tarpaulin. Take your granddaughter with you next time, she will definitely like the story about the bear.
