A regular meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Krasnoyarsk Diocese took placetranslated

On October 15, a regular meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Krasnoyarsk Diocese was held in the Bishops' House of Krasnoyarsk, chaired by Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk.

At the meeting, issues of preparation for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky), which will be celebrated by the Russian Church in 2027, and for the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' were discussed. We considered issues of missionary work, the activities of the board for youth affairs and the construction of an Orthodox chapel at the Krasnoyarsk airport. In addition, members of the diocesan council particularly focused on preparing candidates for admission to Orthodox theological seminaries and on spiritual work with mothers of clergy of the diocese.

Among the positive aspects, Metropolitan Nikita noted an increase in the percentage of choice of the module “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture” within the subject area “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” by more than 60 percent compared to last year and thanked all those responsible for the work of the Krasnoyarsk diocese for interacting with schools.
