On October 20, a working meeting between Archbishop of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka Theodore and Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory Sergei Vasilyevich Merkulov took place at the diocesan administration. Archbishop Theodore congratulated Sergei Vasilyevich on taking office and presented him with an icon of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky and the Gospel as a souvenir.

Next, the Head of the diocese and the Chairman of the Kamchatka Parliament visited the upper church of the Trinity Cathedral; in the church of the holy righteous Artemy of Verkolsky, Bishop Theodore performed a prayer service before the start of any good deed.

The meeting also discussed the construction and reconstruction of churches in the diocese, and the holding of Parliamentary meetings in December as part of the regional stage of the International Christmas Readings.
