A working meeting took place between Archbishop Nikanor and the Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenkotranslated

On September 30, the government of the Sakhalin region hosted a working meeting between the governor of the island region Valery Limarenko and the Archbishop of Yuzhno-Sakhalin and Kuril Nikanor.

During the meeting, issues of construction in the city of Kurilsk (Iturup Island) of a church in honor of the holy supreme apostles Per and Paul, as well as other aspects of the interaction of church and secular authorities in the region were discussed.

A representative of the investor constructing the church, Alexander Pidzhakov, also took part in the meeting.
