Serving as sisters of mercy in the military hospital of Ulyanovsktranslated

On October 20 and 21, the clergy of the Spassky Convent of the city of Ulyanovsk and the sisters of mercy visited the military clinical hospital.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the sisters of the Simbirsk Sisterhood in the name of St. Blessed Andrew, the Wonderworker of Simbirsk, together with the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Sergia (Votrina), carry out regular service in the hospital.
On October 20, nurses visited the wards of the therapeutic, surgical and neurological departments. They held conversations about the Orthodox faith with military personnel undergoing treatment, and also helped those wishing to prepare for Communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
On October 21, in the prayer room of the hospital, the cleric of the Spassky Convent, Hieromonk Anastasy (Zavarzin), performed the Sacraments of Confession and Communion for the patients. The priest was assisted by Abbess Sergius (Votrina) and sisters of mercy. At the end of the pastoral visit, an akathist to the Image of the Savior Not Made by Hands was read.
