On October 9, 2022, on the feast of St. John the Theologian, the Church of St. Thekla was consecrated by His Eminence Bishop Dimitrije of Zahum-Herzegovina and Primorsko with the concelebration of clergy from several dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the faithful. The church is frescoed and decorated. By the way, the new church was built near the foundations of an older early Christian church, which is assumed to date from the third to the sixth century.
