The rector of the church in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov in the city of Udachny (Sakha-Yakutia), priest Sergiy Parshin, conducted a tour of the church for participants in the regional festival “Arctic Circle of Friendship: Festival of Cultural Dialogue” - schoolchildren of different classes.

The children learned about the history of the construction and activities of the Orthodox parish. Also during the meeting, held on the eve of National Unity Day on November 2, they talked about Orthodox culture and the importance of faith in human life, the press service of the diocese reports. Students got acquainted with the architecture and interior decoration of the church, asked questions about the traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov was built in two years and consecrated on October 7, 2012. The city of Udachny was founded in the Mirny district of the republic in 1967; currently, a little over thirteen thousand people live here.
