The Shantićevi eveninge concluded with the promotion of the first volume of "Collected Works of Protopresbyter Marko S. Popović Rodoljub" at the Monastery Museum of Žitomišlije, marking the 107th Shantićevi eveninge. After decades of sifting through his texts from old editions, periodicals, and libraries, the rich creative output of one of the most significant Serbian clergy, educator, writer, and cultural figure of his time has been restored and presented to the readers once again.
On the book, Protopresbyter Marko Gojajić, the author and editor, and Igumen of Žitomišlije Father Danilo Pavlović, attorney Marija Telebak, and master historian Petar Milosević spoke.
The first volume, consisting of 506 pages, brings together the writings and publications of Protopresbyter Marko Popović from 1892 to 1925. His creative output includes literary works, folk tales, dramas, theatrical pieces, notes, and other texts, and behind it lies a vast body of work that needs to be gathered and presented to the public...
