Saint Pious Heraclius of Bessarabia was celebrated in Cahultranslated

Saint Pious Confessor Heraclius from Bessarabia was celebrated on Monday at the Episcopal Cathedral "Saint Hierarch Dionysius and Saint Great Martyr Demetrius" in Cahul, where his relics are for veneration.

The Holy Liturgy was officiated by His Holiness Father Veniamin, Bishop of Southern Bessarabia. The service was attended by clerics from the diocese, believers from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, including the general consul of Romania in Cahul, Gabriel Nicola.

His Eminence highlighted the work of God in the life of Saint Heraclius and spoke about the blessing that the canonization of the new Romanian saints brings to the lives of the faithful.

At the same time, Fr. Andrei Oistric presented aspects of the missionary activity, highlighting the confession of faith of Saint Pious Heraclius from Bessarabia.

Recently, the priest researched the saint's life in his dissertation work, held at the Chisinau extension of the "Justinian Patriarch" Faculty of Orthodox Theology.
