St. Jer. Dionysius will be celebrated in Cahul: his relics and those of St. Blandina from Iași will be carried in the processiontranslated

Saint Hierarch Dionysius, Bishop of Cetății Albe-Ismail, will be celebrated in Cahul through several religious events dedicated to the protector of the Bishopric of South Bessarabia and the Cathedral in the city.

The program will begin on the evening of Wednesday, September 16, when the faithful are invited to participate in the "Path of the Saints" procession, during which caskets will be carried with fragments of the relics of the holy hierarch and of the Holy Confessor Blandina from Iași.

The departure on the route will be at 18:00, from the Diocesan Center of Cahul and will end at the "Holy Hierarch Dionysius and Holy Great Martyr Dimitrie" Cathedral. Upon arrival, the service of Great Vespers and the Litany will be celebrated.

On Thursday, September 17, the program will begin at 08:00 with the Akathist of the Holy Hierarch Dionysius and the Holy Confessor Blandina from Iasi and will continue from 09:00, when the Holy Liturgy will be celebrated.
