Sisters of the Varvara Sisterhood visited patients undergoing palliationtranslated

On the Feast of the Origin of the Honest Trees of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, Sister Varvarinsky sisterhood together with the cleric of the Oshmyany Church, Priest Sergius Miguel visited those whose cross is especially heavy - palliative care patients departments of the Oshmyany district hospital.

The guests prepared gifts for medical personnel and seriously ill people. Doctors and nurses received a freshly baked pie, blessed honey from the new harvest (collected as part of the parish campaign “Kindness Inspired by the Savior”) and aromatic “Honey Afternoon” tea.

This collection of linden blossom, oregano and thyme, compiled by the hands of the sisters, is designed to help doctors relieve emotional stress and strengthen strength in their difficult, demanding patience in service.

For the patients, the sisters prepared dietary sponge cakes, homemade apple pie, candy with apple filling, juice and bee gingerbread with memorable postcards about the Honey Savior - a reminder of our Savior. The priest and sisters personally visited each ward in the ward, presenting gifts and paying attention to each one.
