Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of Roman and Bacău celebrated on Monday, on the feast of Saint Elijah the Prophet, one year since he was ordained a bishop. On this occasion, His Eminence officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Roman Cathedral, together with His Holiness Father Joachim.

At the end of the service, the Archbishop of Roman and Bacău congratulated the hierarch for his first year of episcopal service and for his involvement in intensifying the pastoral-missionary activity of the diocese.

"It is very important to rest in the other and for the other to rest in your soul. Everyone strives for his soul to become a grace, a light, which is ignited and maintained by the Holy Spirit," said His Eminence.

His Holiness Father Joachim emphasized that, in this first year, they tried together "to respond to the spiritual needs of the diocese, to the material needs and to all the other challenges of church work".

It reminds me of how our Father Bishop always says that cooperation is the key. Teofil Trotușanul really got involved in the mission during that year, you can see that. And those words about resting in the second person are nice, I was thinking about it while baking cakes for the feast of St. Elias.

You're right, collaboration really holds everything together. Those words about rest in the second person reminded me how in Prešov, after Holy Mass, we all linger over coffee and share our worries. And how did your Elijah cakes turn out this year?

You're right, those words about resting in another person caught my attention as well. Here in Michalovce, we often stay in the church after mass and help each other with little things, as if we really put each other aside for a while. And how did the cakes turn out for you this year? Mine were a little drier this time, I forgot the butter.

Mária, you are right, that coffee after mass in Prešov is really like a small community within a community. My cakes for Elijah this year did not turn out the best, the dough fell apart, but at least the neighbors praised them. And did you bake something special?

You're right, Peter, the coffee after mass in Prešov is a really nice thing. My daughters baked gingerbread cookies for Elijah this year and they turned out better than last time, they just burned a little on the edges. And what did you do with the crumbled dough, did you throw it away?
