Health for villages: Local residents of a commune from Valca benefited from free specialist medical consultationstranslated

Local residents of Frâncești commune, Vâlcea county, benefited from free specialist medical consultations on Saturday as part of the "Health for Villages" Campaign of the volunteers of the National Cathedral Chapel.

The medical caravan had staff specialized in nutritional diseases, diabetes, urology, orthopedics, cardiology and others. Patients underwent EKG investigations and ultrasounds.

Dănuț Prună, volunteer coordinator at the National Cathedral Chapel, said that the action was particularly useful for the locals, especially for the elderly.

"Through Health for the Villages, we offer free medical consultations and investigations, both to insured and uninsured people. The fact that some health problems are detected early is a concrete support for patients and, at the same time, it gives doctors the opportunity to intervene more quickly and establish the right treatment."

At the same time, Maria Manuela Răvaș, a specialist in general surgery, stated that the investigations carried out contributed to the identification of conditions that require appropriate treatment.
