This year, September 5th according to the old style is the day of the Prophet Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth. The Gospel about the Pharisees and “do not be called teachers” always makes you think, especially when you yourself sometimes teach. I wonder if the fishing that day will be biting or not?

Yesterday I was reading the same Gospel, and really those words "don't call yourselves teachers" of the man a little reserved when he starts giving a lesson to the children. Zaharija and Jelisaveta have always been dear to me, in our family we celebrate them in the summer. And for the fish - if the weather is nice, there will be a bite, Oleg, don't worry, the prophet doesn't get in the way.

The gospel always resonates with me when I start explaining to someone in the hospital what to do, as if I were the boss. Zachariáš and Elžbeta are really nice, in our family we remember them in August at a celebration. And as for fishing, Oleg, on Friday, September 5, 2026, I would rather look at the forecast, because it often depends on rain here near the Danube.

That Gospel always hits me when I'm trying to explain the "right way" to do something in the kitchen at work. Zachariah and Elizabeth are the ones we read about at the youth group sometimes — good reminder not to get puffed up. Dragan, that's right - those words from the Gospel always bother me a little when I start teaching my daughter something serious. Zaharija and Jelisaveta are also dear to us, we celebrate them every year in summer with lean fish stew. And for the cleve, if the weather is nice, I'll try to throw a stick too, just so I don't spoil the dough for the pie I'm baking the same day.

That Gospel passage always catches me when I'm showing the new volunteers at the church pantry how to sort donations "the right way." Zachariah and Elizabeth have been special in our family too — my late husband was named after him. As for the fishing on the 5th, Oleg, I'll be praying for good weather so you all get a bite.

That Gospel always gets me too, especially the part about not calling anyone "teacher" or "father" when I'm trying to show my daughter the right way to plant tomatoes in the garden. Zachariah and Elizabeth are a quiet favorite in our house as well. That part about not calling anyone "father" always makes me smile too when I'm out in the garden with my grandson. Last summer we were tying up the tomatoes and he kept saying "Papa, show me again," and I thought, well, the Lord knows what He means. Hope the fish are biting wherever you end up that weekend.
