Chapter of Serbian Hierarchs and the Glory of the Choir "Saint Anastasia"translated

On the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost, the Cathedral Church in Trebinje was a place of gathering and festive spiritual joy. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated, along with the Consecration of the Holy Belt of the Most Pure Mother of God, and the female choir "Saint Anastasia," which venerates Saint Anastasia of Serbia, the Mother of Saint Sava, also celebrated its feast day.
In the Gospel reading, Father Nikola Jančević highlighted that true Christian love is not a casual norm but a communal category realized through liturgical communion with Christ, loving God and one's neighbor, transcending our inner divisions. Drinking divine energies like mature grapes in the sun, man becomes a whole person created for eternity through repentance, prayer, and sacrifice.
Blessing the glorious gifts, Protodeacon Archstavrophor Mladen Jurović, who, in blessing the feast, thanked the choir that with their singing from Sunday to Sunday they bring joy to the Kingdom of Heaven. He expressed hope that the members of the choir will continue to serve the Church through church singing and participation in the liturgical life, filling our church with their voices, responding to the eternal psalm-singing call: "Sing to God our Maker! Sing!"
Festive gathering...
