Let us be careful not to lose the Lord from the arms of our hearts, because of sins, urges Bishop Ignatiustranslated

"Let's be careful not to lose the Lord from the arms of our hearts, because of the sins we commit", urged Bishop Ignatius of Hus, on Wednesday, on the feast of Saint Myronosita Maria Magdalena.

His Eminence officiated the rededication service of the church in the town of Rebricea, a branch of the Tatomirești Parish, which underwent restoration works, and the Holy Liturgy.

The hierarch explained why the Church honors Saint Mary Magdalene with the appellation of "just like the Apostles", showing that she was the one who powerfully proclaimed the truth of the Lord's Resurrection.

Thanks for the article. I was especially struck by how Bishop Ignatius spoke about Mary Magdalene’s ardent anxiety—suddenly someone had taken the Lord away from the tomb. Last year we also renovated an old church in the suburbs, and after the consecration you somehow especially acutely understand that the main thing is not to lose Him in your heart because of your own sins. But it happens easily.

Thank you, Vladimir, for your comment. I was also touched by how Bishop Ignatius said about this anxiety of Mary Magdalene - suddenly the Lord was taken away. Last year, in Samara, we also had a church on the outskirts restored, and after the consecration I thought the same thing: the main thing is that sins do not force Him out of my heart. What church in your suburb was being renovated, if it’s not a secret?
