The Russian parish in Kenya purchased a tent for services during the rainy seasontranslated

Donors of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa helped the parish of the Russian Orthodox Church in honor of the Great Martyr Irene in the village of Kamaitgok in Kenya purchase a tent for worship during the rainy season.
On October 22, 2026, the tent, in the co-service of the local clergy, was consecrated by the dean of the Nandi district, Priest Titus Kipngeni, reports the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate.

It is noted that previously “the community was forced to leave the building in which services were previously held, and due to the rainy season, it experienced difficulties in organizing religious life.”
“It was a great joy for the parishioners to have such a quick solution to the problem they faced,” commented Priest Titus Kipngeni on the purchase of the tent.
The rector of the parish, Priest Amphilochius Kosgei, and the believers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the donors of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa for their support.
