The head of the regency and singing department of the DDS spoke live on the radio station “FM-on-Don”translated

On October 31, 2026, the head of the regency and singing department of the Don Theological Seminary, Hieromonk Averky (Shaposhnikov), took part in a live broadcast of the FM-on-Don radio station. The program was dedicated to the upcoming solo concert of the philharmonic artist, singer and soloist of the choir of the Rostov Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ilya Boldyrev, who became the main guest of the program.

According to Hieromonk Averky (Shaposhnikov), the concert, which will take place on November 1 at the Rostov State Philharmonic, is notable for the combination of secular folk music and spiritual chants performed by the Great Metropolitan Choir of the clergy of the Rostov-on-Don diocese. This musical combination is designed to reveal the richness of folk songs and introduce listeners to sacred music.

The concert entitled “Give me back the music...” will be held as part of the “Don Nightingales” subscription. The Don Orchestra will take part in the program, bringing together the region's leading instrumentalists. The large metropolitan choir of the clergy of the Rostov-on-Don diocese is led by Protodeacon Vladimir Zubritsky.
