The head of the diocesan missionary department held a regular meeting with participants in the “Active Longevity” programtranslated

On October 13, the head of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese, Archpriest Ilya Nastevich, met a group of participants in the governor’s “Active Longevity” program.

During the meeting, Father Ilya introduced the guests to the history of the church and its main shrines, and spoke about the content and spiritual significance of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Particular attention was paid to the main provisions of Orthodox icon veneration, as well as the church tradition of commemorating the dead. The meeting participants were able to learn more about the Orthodox faith, church traditions and the spiritual heritage of the Orthodox Church.

The meeting was held as part of educational work aimed at introducing representatives of the older generation to Orthodox culture and spiritual traditions.
