The head of the diocesan missionary department held another conversation with the participants of “Active Longevity”translated

On September 8, in the Assumption Church in the village of Uspenskoye, another meeting was held between the head of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese, Archpriest Ilya Nastevich, and participants in the governor’s “Active Longevity” program.

At the beginning of the meeting, Father Elijah told the guests about the history of the church, its shrines, modern parish life and the missionary service of the parish.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to issues of the Orthodox faith and church tradition. The meeting participants learned about the history of icon veneration, the emergence and development of monasticism in the Christian Church, as well as the history and spiritual significance of Holy Mount Athos.

The meeting continued in the format of open communication: participants were able to ask the priest questions that interested them and discuss various topics related to the Orthodox faith, the history of the Church and modern parish life.
