Romfilatelia launched an issue of postage stamps with the theme "Romania, 70 years in UNESCO"translated

The issue of postage stamps Romania, 70 years in UNESCO, consisting of four postage stamps and a "first day" envelope, is put into circulation, starting on Thursday, by Romfilatelia and Poșta Română.

The show promotes four of the customs and manifestations of the Romanian tradition inscribed in the UNESCO list: doina (October 2009), Horezu pottery (December 2012), scoarța (December 2016), the most recent being cobza, inscribed in December 2025.

Postage stamps

Doina (6.50 lei) pays homage to representative literary creations, specifically Romanian, which enriches folklore alongside fairy tales, ballads and others. Also, doina is a lyrical work in verses in which a wide range of feelings are expressed, characterized by depth and performed to a melody. Ceramica de Horezu (11 lei) pays tribute to a unique traditional craft, practiced by both men and women from the northern part of Vâlcea county, the manufacturing process being divided. Scoarţa (16 lei) pays homage to a product of the traditional peasant household integrated into the large family of woolen fabrics, utilitarian-decorative, intended to protect and ennoble the living space.
