Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in US holds 86th Congress in Philadelphia

The 86th Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of the United States of America took place in mid-July in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event was hosted by Holy Trinity Parish.
From Friday, 10 July, to Sunday, 12 July, the congress gathered clergy and delegates from Romanian Orthodox communities across the Americas for a programme that included conferences, liturgical services, and festive events.

Metropolitan Nicolae of the Americas recalled the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and highlighted the significance of the blessing of the host church’s newly completed iconography, which crowned years of efforts to beautify the place of worship.
The congress featured lectures addressing issues relevant to the Church’s mission in contemporary society.
