It is 35 years since the passing of Cella Delavrancea, one of the outstanding personalities of Romanian culture, to the Lord. Considered an exceptional talent since childhood, the artist has become a landmark of Romanian pianists.

Born on December 15, 1887, in one of Romania's most prestigious cultural families, Cella Delavrancea would become one of the most important Romanian pianists of the 20th century, as well as an acclaimed writer and teacher.

Since childhood, Cella Delavrancea grew up in an elite cultural environment, frequented by writers, artists and politicians of the time. He testified about the atmosphere in which he was formed: "I was raised in an atmosphere where only literature, art and music were talked about."

He received his first piano lessons from his mother, a talented pianist, and his musical talent was evident from an early age. At only eight years old, she was already giving small concerts, and her father, the writer Barbu Ștefămnescu Delavrancea, called her "my ideal child". He attended the Bucharest Conservatory and then perfected himself at the Paris Conservatory.
