The rector of the Samara Theological Seminary, Archpriest Maxim Kokarev, and a member of the board of the charitable foundation for education "Vera" Konstantin Bobylev visited correctional colony No. 4 in the city of Medyn, Kaluga region. The Samara delegation held working conversations with the management, staff of the penitentiary institution and persons serving sentences. During the meetings, issues of spiritual education and the organization of regular broadcasting of Radio “Vera” in the colony were discussed. Archpriest Maxim Kokarev in his speeches spoke in detail about the important role of educational and spiritual radio broadcasts in the process of correction and moral improvement of convicts. Thanks to the working trip of Samara representatives, the correctional facility in Medyn will soon be connected to the Svetly Radio network. Today, Radio Vera broadcasts successfully in 349 correctional and educational colonies, prisons and pre-trial detention centers in 41 regions of the Russian Federation.
