A full house welcomed Tonya Borisova and her performance "Paths to the Soul of Bulgaria" yesterday at the Kotel. The event was part of the program of the Historical Museum - Kotel on the occasion of the Days of European Cultural Heritage 2026. The meeting turned into an emotional journey through family memory, Bulgarian history and our spiritual roots, in which words, music and personal narrative were intertwined in a strong message about memory, which connects us to the past and gives us direction to the future.

Academician Tonya Borisova - poet, writer, actress, pedagogue and editor, is a relative of the chronicler of the April Uprising Zahariy Stoyanov and the famous folk singer Valkana Stoyanova. The author of 20 books and over 820 poetic and musical performances, she dedicates her creative path to the preservation and transmission of Bulgarian memory.

Among the strongest moments in the performance was the personal story of Academician Tonya Borisova about her father, 104-year-old Academician Krastyo Rybarov, and about her daughter Salzitsa.
