PS Veniamin highlighted in Căușeni the connection between the parishes of the Republic of Moldova and Romaniatranslated

Bishop Veniamin of Southern Bessarabia served on Wednesday in the Parish of the "Covering of the Mother of God" in Căuşeni, on the occasion of the Transfiguration of the Lord. His Eminence highlighted the bonds of communion between the parishes in the Republic of Moldova and those in Romania.
The holiday was celebrated according to the unrevised Julian calendar. The sermon was delivered by father Mircea Uță, from the "Defenders of the Fatherland II" Parish in the Archdiocese of Bucharest, who spoke about the discovery of the Savior's divine glory on Mount Tabor, before the Apostles Peter, Jacob and John.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, according to the tradition of the holiday, His Holiness Father Veniamin blessed the grapes and other fruits brought by the faithful, as a sign of gratitude to God for the gifts received.
The Bishop of Southern Bessarabia then spoke about the significance of the Transfiguration and the presence of Moses and Elijah next to the Savior, as testimony that in Christ the Law and the Prophets are fulfilled. The Hierarch also recalled the voice of the Father heard on Tabor: "This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; listen to Him".
