PS Veniamin blessed the new pastoral center of a parish in Cimișlia district, Republic of Moldovatranslated

Bishop Veniamin of Southern Bessarabia blessed the Social Pastoral Center "St. Cuv. Parascheva" in the village of Batir, Republic of Moldova, on Sunday.

The new settlement comes to the aid of the parish, supporting its pastoral-missionary and community activities.

Reverend Father Veniamin highlighted the Christian love and the spirit of cooperation through which the members of the community contributed to the fulfillment of this project.

Parish priest Simion Popovici received the "Eparchyal Cross for Clergy", as a sign of appreciation for the work carried out. Also, the co-servant father Teodor Popenco was ordained a stavrofor icon, in recognition of his involvement in the pastoral-missionary work and in the life of the parish community.

At the same time, the founders and benefactors who contributed to the realization of the works received diocesan orders and distinctions, as a sign of gratitude for the support offered to the Church and for their contribution to the development of social-philanthropic activities.

The construction of the pastoral-missionary center began in 2024, at the initiative of the parish, with the blessing and support of His Holiness Father Veniamin, the Bishop of South Bessarabia, and...
