PS Varlaam Ploieșteanul on the Resurrection of Jairus' daughter: We learn how important the faith and prayer of some are for otherstranslated

"We learn how important the faith and prayer of some are for others. This rabbi who prays to the Lord sees his prayer more than fulfilled," Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Varlaam Ploieșteanul emphasized on Sunday, about the resurrection of Jairus' daughter.

The Hierarch officiated the Holy Liturgy in the Parish of "Saints Peter and Paul and Saint Hierarch Nicholas" in Chiajna, Ilfov county.

Starting from the examples of Jairus and the woman with the issue of blood, His Eminence highlighted the contrast between the attitude of those who surrounded the Savior and the faith of the two who were hopefully seeking His help.

"We find the face of a faithful and humble rabbi, who comes to Jesus, falls on his knees before Him, while those like him were condemning him, saying that he was breaking the Law, and asked to come to his house to heal his daughter, who was the only child he had."

"The Savior knew because God, being Omniscient, and precisely because he knew her faith with which she touched Him, He wanted to see this faithful, shy, humble woman, an example of faith," said the Patriarchal Vicar Bishop.

A humble and loving work...
