Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău on Thursday celebrated the first Holy Liturgy since the beginning of the pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Pious Parascheva, at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Iasi.
His Eminence emphasized the spiritual joy and blessing of having the relics of Saint Pious Paisie from Sihăstria at this celebration.
"We bow our foreheads, our heads and our knees before their holy relics and we pray that as they were heard by God, we too will be heard and helped by their prayers."
"The humility in which Saint Paisie served, that humility in which Saint Pious Parascheva also served, is the gift that we, today's pilgrims, who come to the capital of Moldova, should ask for," the hierarch also said.
