PS Teofil Trotușanul consecrated a new day care center for the elderly, in Bacău countytranslated

Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of the Archdiocese of Romania and Bacău consecrated on Saturday a new day center for the elderly, in the town of Schitu Frumoasa in Bacău county.

The hierarch explained that the inauguration of a new space dedicated to the elderly is the concrete expression of following God's command to honor them.

"The prayers that I have made now have reminded us of what the Holy Scripture, the Law of God, teaches us, namely, to honor the elderly, because God has blessed the age of old age as an age of wisdom."

"The elderly and those who will be cared for in this community will have here, in this new hallowed settlement, a place where they can be cared for, meet, socialize and do various activities," His Eminence said.

At the same time, His Holiness Father Teofil Trotușanul emphasized that in order for the new center "to be useful for the elderly" it is necessary that those who will work within the institution be able to multiply the gifts received from God.
