PS Paisie Sinait about St. Elizabeth of the Bird: Sainthood does not belong only to distant timestranslated

"The life of Saint Pious Elisabeta from Pasărea is one of the testimonies close to our days through which we understand that holiness does not belong only to the distant times of the Church's history, but can also flourish in the world we live in", emphasized the Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Paisie Sinait.
The hierarch officiated on Saturday evening, at the Patriarchal Cathedral in the Capital, the Vigil service in honor of the saint, whose relics were brought for veneration on the occasion of the patron saint of Saint Demetrius the New, the Protector of Bucharest.
His Holiness Father Paisie Sinait highlighted the significance of the event on the Hill of Joy through the presence of the relics of the two saints.
"We are called to approach more mindfully the mystery of holiness and the gift that Christ bestows on His Church through the saints who have entrusted their whole lives to God."
"The saints show us that God can transfigure our lives when we make room for Him in our hearts, and His love can become a source of light, peace and spiritual strength even in the hardest trials," His Eminence said.
