PS Paisie Sinait celebrates three years of bishoprictranslated

The Most Reverend Father Paisie Sinait, Patriarchal Vicar Bishop, turns three years old on Monday, July 20, 2026, after receiving the gift of the bishopric.

The hierarch was born in Poieni, Schitu-Duca commune, Iași county, on April 12, 1972, to Jenică and Mihaela Teodorescu. At the Holy Baptism he received the name of Sebastian.

He attended primary and secondary school in his native village, between 1979 and 1987, then the courses of the "Dumitru Mangeron" High School in Iasi (1987–1991).

In 1994, he was admitted to the "Dumitru Stăniloae" Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Iași, which he graduated in 1998, with a bachelor's thesis on the Holy Liturgy under Nicolae Cabasila. Liturgical and spiritual aspects, written under the guidance of Rev. Prof. Dr. Viorel Sava.

In the same year, on August 15, he entered the community of Neamț Monastery, and a few months later, on December 5, he was ordained a monk by Archim. Clement Haralam, Grand Ecclesiarch of the Patriarchal Cathedral, at that time the exarch of the monasteries of the Archdiocese of Iasi. He received the monastic name of Paisie.

Юлія ШевчукСлава Богу, що владика Пайсій уже три роки служить як єпископ. Запам’яталося, що він закінчив теологію з роботою про Літургію в Миколи Кабасили – цікаво, що саме цю тему обрав. Молімося за нього, щоби й надалі ніс свій послух з тим же смиренням.
