His Holiness Father Macarie, Bishop of Northern Europe, and His Holiness Father Damaschin Dorneanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuţi, served at the Suceava Parish "Exaltation of the Holy Cross" - Partestii de Jos II on Sunday on the eve of the patron saint.
Reverend Father Macarie spoke about the history of the church, recalling that the patron saint "The Exaltation of the Holy Cross" is related to the appearance of a sign in the form of a cross, following a lightning strike, during the construction of the church.
In the sermon, the hierarch explained the spiritual significance of being born "from water and from the Spirit", through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, starting from the dialogue between the Savior Jesus Christ and Nicodemus, reported in the Gospel of the Sunday before the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
