Bishop Lucian of Caransebeș blessed the gendarmes of Caraș-Severin on Tuesday on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the establishment of the county inspectorate and the 133rd anniversary of the first attestation of the Rural Gendarmerie.

His Eminence officiated a Tedeum service and a Polychronium in the yard of the County Museum of Ethnography and the Border Regiment in Caransebeș.

The demonstration brought together active and reserve gendarmes, representatives of the county and local administration, heads of public institutions and personalities from the cultural environment.

Father Mihai-Adrian Venter from the Gendarmerie Inspectorate "General Moise Groza" Timiș supported the communication with the theme "36 years of Gendarmerie in Caraș-Severin", and Ovidiu Roșu, head of the County Service of the National Archives, spoke about the history of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
