PS Ioan Casian participated in the enthronement of the new Greek Archbishop of Canadatranslated

The Most Reverend Father Ioan Casian, the Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Canada, participated on Saturday in the enthronement service of the Most Reverend Father Apostolos, the new Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Canada.

The delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church also included Father Petre Busuioc, administrative vicar, and Hieromonk Policarp, abbot of the Romanian Orthodox Monastery "St. Ephrem the New" and "Exaltation of the Holy Cross" in Mono, Ontario.

The event took place at the Greek Archbishop's Cathedral "St. Nicholas" in Toronto and brought together hierarchs of several autocephalous and autonomous Orthodox Churches, including representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Ukrainian Metropolis of Canada, the Serbian Orthodox Diocese for the East of the United States, the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) and the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of America.

Representatives of several Christian denominations were also present at the event: the Roman Catholic Church, the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Coptic Church.
