On Wednesday, Bishop Ignatie of Hușilor officiated a memorial service in Tămășeni, Vaslui county, in the locality of the two brothers who drowned in the Olimp resort. The hierarch was with the bereaved family, showing that "no tear is lost", because "love is stronger than death".

Ionuț Valentin and Vlad Georgian, aged 17 and 19, were at the seaside to work during the summer.

"It is a moment of suffering, of sadness because two young people have gone to the other world in such sudden conditions and at such a beautiful age. Death is a great mystery to man, and often its consequences remain incomprehensible from a logical point of view, for us," said His Eminence.

Love conquers death The Most Reverend Father Ignatius explained that prayer for the sleeping is one of the most important forms through which love continues to work.

"Even if physically they are no longer with us, they will remain in the souls of all who knew them, especially for those in the family; no one, ever, will be able to tear them from the hearts of all who knew them and who love them so much. …
