His Holiness Father Benedict, the Bishop of Sălaj, blessed the more than 700 students of the "Sfântul Nicolae" Orthodox High School in Zalău on Monday. "You are our joy and our light and those who make us responsible," the hierarch told them at the beginning of the new school year.

The event began with the celebration of the Tedeum service by the Bishop of Sălaj, in the presence of students, teachers and parents.

His Eminence addressed children and young people, emphasizing the responsibility they place on adults:

"So that we adults succeed in creating the most favorable context for a beautiful, harmonious growth, through which you present yourself well before the world as students of our school, and later as distinguished graduates, in the context and in the space where God will direct your steps to do their work."
