PS Benedict, about St. Matrona from Hurezi: She had peace in her heart and became a source of harmony for those around hertranslated

Bishop Benedict of Sălaj emphasized on Monday, in Someș-Guruslău Parish in Sălaj county, that the Holy Pious Matrona from Hurezi "had peace in her heart and became a source of harmony for those around her".
His Eminence officiated the service of the Chapel of the Mother of God, at the end of which he continued the series of catechesis organized during the Fast of the Dormition of the Mother of God within the diocese, dedicated to the Romanian holy women recently canonized by the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The hierarch evoked the important moments in the life of Saint Matrona from Hurezi as milestones in her formation on the monastic path: "At a very young age she was taken by her parents to the Sărăcinești Monastery and she loved that place so much that she never wanted to leave."
"His mother couldn't turn him out of the way and he stayed there because he wanted to live like the mothers he saw."
"At sixteen, she became a nun and received the name Matrona. Later, the entire community moved to the Hurezi Monastery, where she was also elected abbess. She did not stay long in this ministry, but continued to live in the monastery and keep the spirit of peace," added His Eminence.
The peace…
