Rector of the Church of the Holy Martyr Haralampia ag. Novka of the Vitebsk region, Archpriest Vladimir Pashkevich took part in the ceremony of transferring the remains of junior lieutenant Nikolai Vasilyevich Surtaev, who died in July 1944, for subsequent reburial in his small homeland in the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation. The event took place in the agricultural town of Shapechino, Vitebsk region. Archpriest Vladimir performed a funeral litany for the fallen hero.
