Archpriest Pavel Kalinin met with students of the Faculty of Journalism of Kuban State Universitytranslated

On October 16, 2026, in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Journalism of KubSU, a meeting was held between the rector of the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the head of the department of religious education of the Ekaterinodar and Kuban Metropolis, Archpriest Pavel Kalinin, and students. The event was organized by the head of the Department of Journalism and Journalism, Nikolai Krizhanovsky. The topic of the meeting was the role of faith, family and homeland in finding oneself.

During the conversation, Father Pavel touched on the most important issues that resonated in the hearts of modern youth: faith in the human soul and church traditions, the difference between genuine spiritual life and formal “observance of the rules”, frequent mistakes in understanding faith among modern people, the process of finding your soulmate from the point of view of the Orthodox tradition, the difference between true love and falling in love and many others.

More than 150 students of the “Journalism” and “Advertising and Public Relations” majors listened to the guest with interest and asked questions. The conversation was not limited to discussions on the topics raised: Father Pavel gave examples from the Bible and personal life that helped the audience more easily understand the essence of the problems raised.
