Archpriest Dimitry Boltonov took part in a seminar dedicated to the care of military hospitals and clinicstranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan Vasily of Ekaterinodar and Kuban, the head of the diocesan social department, Archpriest Dimitry Boltonov, took part in a pastoral seminar on the peculiarities of care in military hospitals and clinics.

The event took place from October 20 to 22, 2026 at the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra.

The seminar was organized by the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service.

Participants in the pastoral seminar discussed current issues of hospital ministry, spiritual support for the wounded, the celebration of the Sacraments in a hospital setting, the safety of priests and interaction with volunteers. In the course of the work, important issues of hospital ministry and the features of pastoral care for military personnel undergoing treatment were considered.

Particular attention was paid to summarizing the accumulated experience of hospital service, as well as considering the most complex spiritual, moral and practical issues that arise for clergy when carrying out this obedience. The specifics of the work of priests on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the zone of a special military operation were separately considered.
