Archpriest Alexander Novopashin continues his series of lectures in Ryazan – News – Novosibirsk Metropolistranslated

In Ryazan, a series of meetings continues with the head of the Center for Apologetic Mission in the Siberian Federal District, chairman of the missionary department of the Novosibirsk diocese, Archpriest Alexander Novopashin. On September 7, Father Alexander gave lectures on the topic “Neo-paganism is a dangerous fake of our time.” The meetings were held in a military unit for personnel, in the regional Gorky library for representatives of the cultural sphere, school directors, members of public chambers, heads of NGOs, as well as in the Ryazan branch of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after V. Ya. Kikot and in the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School named after Army General V. F. Margelov. In his speeches, Archpriest Alexander spoke about the history of the emergence of neo-pagan movements, the features of their ideology, symbolism and modern forms of distribution.
Special attention was paid to the connection of a number of neo-pagan movements with radical ideologies of the 20th century, as well as the use of pseudo-historical myths to involve people in such organizations.
