An organizational meeting of the Trinity Cathedral Board of Trustees was heldtranslated

On October 20, an organizational meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Trinity Cathedral was held in the conference hall of the Ascension Cathedral.

The revival of the Trinity Cathedral of Simbirsk on a historical site was blessed by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' during a meeting with the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexei Russkikh and Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, held on October 15, 2026 at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence in the Danilov Monastery in Moscow.

The first meeting of the board of trustees was chaired by Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky and First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region Vadim Andreev.

Metropolitan Longin introduced to the audience the rector of the Trinity Cathedral, Archpriest Sergius Efremov, who was entrusted with the construction of the church and the organization of parish life.

The meeting participants identified the first necessary steps to complete documentation and survey the historical territory on which the Trinity and St. Nicholas Cathedrals were located.
