Program of the XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Ministry in Yekaterinburgtranslated

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Ministry will be held in the Ural capital from October 27 to 30, 2026.

The organizers are the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, the Department of Social Service of the Yekaterinburg Diocese and the Orthodox Charity Service.

The conference will be headed by Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Charity Archpriest Mikhail Potokin and Head of the Social Department of the Ekaterinburg Diocese Archpriest Evgeniy Popichenko, as well as Director of the charitable foundation for helping the elderly “Old Age in Joy” Elizaveta Oleskina.

More than 300 people will take part in the forum: heads of church social projects and charity departments, senior sisters and confessors of the sisterhoods of mercy, diocesan officials responsible for helping those returning from the front, coordinators of church volunteer services from all dioceses in the Ural Federal District, representatives of regional authorities and Yekaterinburg.
