On October 21, as part of a meeting of the heads of Sunday schools of the Kolomna diocese, chaired by Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna, a presentation of the Orthodox children's film festival “Cinnabar”, a project of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo diocese, took place.

The concept of the festival was presented by Alexander Kostyuchenko, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Cinema and Media Educators “Institute of Visual Communications” - a partner of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese. He spoke about the goals and objectives of the project, aimed at the spiritual and moral education of children through cinema, and invited the heads of Sunday schools to take part in the festival.

The presentation aroused keen interest among the meeting participants. As a result, several dozen people applied to participate in the film festival.

Next year, the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese plans to hold the second Orthodox children’s film festival “Cinnabar,” significantly expanding the geography of participants. One of the key tasks of the organizers is to attract secondary school teachers interested in the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation to the project.
